Every pirate needs a mermaid!
Using the chipboard Industrial Lanterns from Alphastamps, I created these light up fantasy lanterns.
Each lantern has a battery operated tealight inside
I printed the wonderful mermaid and pirate ship digitals from Gecko Galz, on transparency, then covered them in a textured plastic.
I painted the lanterns first, then adhered the window pictures
The really fun part was the decorating.
Gold filigree bead caps on the bottom of the mermaid lantern.
Paper die cuts + chipboard anchor and ships wheel were distressed and glued on the sides
The lid features light blue metallic shell dresden, glass beads, florals, vintage rhinestone pendant, tea dyed cheesecloth, flat backed marbles, shell sequins, sparklies, + beach glass + a large shell I found on the beach, that I painted in blue and used gold wax paste on for highlights
The pirate lantern has skull and crossbones on each side, as well as compasses, an anchor, + a patina mermaids head, from a ship.
The lid features gold coins, black pearls, a sword, dagger, flintlock pistol, gold glitter, skulls, and a treasure map.
Each lantern is approx 5.5" x 3"
Arrrgh mateys! there be mermaids!
