Dragon with Peony

This image is pre-colored.
Using a beautiful frame from the Gecko Galz kit Been Framed, I printed and cut out. Using Distress Oxide inks, I made a background paper to coordinate with the digi stamp.
Cut it in a circle to fit under the frame, then glued it in place.

Next, I cut out a rectangle piece of light green pearl paper. I stamped Happy Birthday all over it in Worn Lipstick distress ink. 

To put the card together,the green stamped paper was first glued to a white pearl card. I cut out die cut swirls  using dark pink pearl paper. added these on either side. Using 3D foam tape, I adhered the frame. 

With the same foam tape, I adhered the dragon. I also added a pink bow to the bottom stem, and a tiny sparkled pink gem to one of the flower centers.

The corners have another sparkle dot attached and the top of the frame features a pink and green paper flower I made.

Now the card is ready for any princess!

 

                                                     

Gecko Galz DT Challenge Colors of Summer

SUMMER BREEZE

For my June DT Challenge for Gecko Galz, I created this 12" x 12" canvas using the BACKGROUND CHECK DOMINO's Digital sheet that will be coming out soon on the Gecko Galz Etsy shop.

I used modelling paste and my blocks stencil on the 12 x 12 canvas

When that dried, I painted it in shimmer, then white acrylic paint

Made my dominos next. Used bamboo dominos,  + glued the designs I chose to one side. Let dry

Covered the dried images with Glass Glaze + let dry over night.

After the white paint was dry on the canvas, I sprayed on a fun twist using shimmer dye sprays from Dylusions, + Color Bloom. Set it up to let the drips do their thing, and set it aside to dry. 

The next day, after choosing my layout pattern, I glued the dominos to the canvas.

Fun to make and something a little different!

I made mine into a tag. So versatile! Words or a verse can be added to use for whatever holiday or birthday

I made 2 diecut tags, using my Sizzix, the larger tag in pink pearl cardstock, the smaller in yellow pearl cardstock

I ripped a few pieces of some pretty background paper I made, and glued random pieces to the yellow tag

After fussy cutting the elephant, I used foam strips to 3d her.

Edged the yellow tag with Worn Lipstick Distress ink, then glued the tag over top the pink one

Punched a hole in the top, then tied a bow using vintage lace I dyed yellow, using dye ink spray.

Its now ready to add to a gift package or card

I used the Geisha Girl image and Cherry Blossoms digital images

Colored all images using Prisma Premier Markers

Adhered the images to a floral background in shades of pink and white

The cut out flowers were layered on either side of the image.

The design is on a wood base. 

Vintage metal stamps adorn the top with layers of green patina metal butterfly designs

I 3d the butterfly images using foam tape

Sparkly clear butterflies on either side of the image

Hanging from the bottom  are acrylic prisms and glass beads wired with  butterfly charms

The top has a metal loop for hanging

Lemonade Stand DT Color of Summer Challenge GG

The DT Challenge for June on the Gecko Galz Facebook page is Color of Summer

I created a bright, sunny Lemonade Stand

I started with a teabag box.

Cut here and there, till I got it looking like a stand. Masking tape around the bottom to make it sturdier.

My first cut was this, but after some debating, I decided to lose the back pillars.

Gessoed the whole stand in white, then when dry, I covered the inside + bottom half in this delicious lemon paper from GG Summer Picnic Paper Pack Summer Picnic

The top part I used the yellow striped paper in the same paper pack.

 I also used the striped paper to make a border on the bottom of the stand.

Using part of the box that I cut off, I made a front counter. I covered it in the lemonade slices paper. I also printed it on glossy sticker paper to look more like a laminated counter.

Using yellow pearl paper and my diecutter, I made the flag banner. Added tiny glitter dots in green.

Black zig zag dresden under the counter, + the sides

The big Lemonade sign on top, is made from gluing the sign onto yellow cardstock. the image is from the

Lets Make Lemonaid  digital collage sheet.

I edged it in green distress ink

The glass with lemons is from the same sheet. After glueing it, I used liquid glass over it. When dry, it looks and feels like glass.

My punch bowl of lemonade is a small plastic cup I had , mixed the liquid glass with some shimmer lemon dye spray. When  dry, I added lemon slices + also covered them in the liquid glass. Same as the slices laying on the counter.

Lastly, I glued on another image, a large lemon, + wrote on it with a black glitter pen. .5

Anyone for a lemonade?

I made mine by starting with the sweet image that I colored using my Prisma Premier Markers

Mounted her on a piece of designer cardstock from my stash. I liked the blue colors in it, matches her hair.

A pretty pink bow was added to her headband.

Paper flowers in pink,yellow and deep rose in each corner add the finishing touch.
