Aug Gecko Galz Challenge DT Summer Romance Aug ATCs

The challenge for the Designer Team for Gecko Galz this month is
SUMMER ROMANCE

I made romantic ATCs with a comical twist

I created these ATCs using images from  The Summer Romance Collage set, you can find here

I started with a 2.5" x 3.5" piece of sand colored burlap

I then added a cut down version of the Marilyn ATC set papers

Using pop dots, I added the couples, then glued on my snarky love verses from Mischief Circus

For a last touch, I glued on plastic mini wine bottles

A clock face diecut in black burlap

Another diecut on the left side cut out in a gothic scroll print

Black lace at the bottom with a scroll and skull border

I also added a plastic spider web and spider at the top for fun

Gecko Galz Summer Romance DT Challenge Sea of Love

Does love only happen with humans? In  my fantasy world, mermaids and mermen fall in love too

I created a Sea of Love box using the gorgeous Sea Of Love
 digital sheet at Gecko Galz

I started with a paper mache heart shape box.

Did an acrylic pour over the lid using white + turqoise

The swirls of these 2 colors reminded me of the ocean

Around the edges are glistening pieces of mica shell

I chose the beautiful pic of 2 mermaid lovers under the sea

Around the sides of the box I sprayed it using ocean blue spray die, then used aged brass over the corrugated part

I cut images out from various GG ocean sheets + glued them to the sides

The very bottom is texture paste with white sand + real beach glass from Nova Scotia shores

Arty Divas Challenge #

Merry Christmas Owl
From

I made a birdhouse card shape, in light green pearl cardstock, using a template I found on Google.

I colored the owl image with Prima Premier Markers.

A tiny green bell on his hat

Around the hole for the birdhouse is a ring of red bead garland.

The owl is adhered to the card using 3D foam dots.

Colored in the Merry Christmas Banner, then added some clear crystal glue around the edges. Glued it to the back of the owls head.

Now, he's all ready to put a Christmas verse inside the card, and off to his new owner.

Gecko Galz DT Aug Challenge SUMMER ROMANCE Victorian Style

When I think of romance, I think of those lovely Victorian couples, sharing a shy glance + a slight touch of hands.

I created this summer romance piece that will be made into a journal cover.

A cutout shrine was created using chipboard. I covered it in scrapbook paper.

Over the shrine cutout, I made a die cut from an window die in tan paper, then distressed it.

The ocean scene was printed out, + adhered behind the window

The beautiful couple are from Gecko Galz. They have many wonderful Victorian digitals

The couple are 3D using pop dots

Using another die, I added the wisteria. The butterflies are from GG

Paper roses, in pink + cream

On the lower right corner I made a love letter with a metal plume pen

I do hope they fall in love....
